Untrap Insta is a lightweight, open-source browser extension that instantly hides Instagram’s Reels and Explore sections for a cleaner, distraction-free experience. Each feature can be toggled individually in the settings, and the extension works seamlessly on both Chrome and Firefox.
Untrap Insta is free, privacy-friendly, and does not track you or your data. Instagram is engineered to maximize engagement, often at the cost of our time and attention. By using Untrap Insta alongside removing the mobile app and following only the accounts that truly matter, you can build a healthier relationship with social media.
Installation
Untrap Insta is available on the Google Chrome Store and Firefox Web Store. Visit the store page and click on the “Add” button to install the extension directly to your browser.
Usage
- Click the InstaUntrap icon to open the settings popup.
- Use the switches to hide the Reels and Explore page on Instagram.
